ETA SA, a high-tech manufacturing division of the Swatch Group, seeks a three-year apprentice watchmaker for production roles in Grenchen. The apprentice will assemble mechanical and electronic watch movements, chronographs, and complete timepieces while performing quality control and functional testing using precision measurement methods. This position combines industrial production work with modern customer service collaboration and includes responsibility for basic tool fabrication.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electronic watch movements and chronographs in production workshop environments
- Detect and correct aesthetic defects, malfunctions, and failures at various production stages by identifying and resolving root causes
- Mount watch dials, hands, and movements into watch cases while ensuring precise assembly
- Perform functional testing and quality control on completed timepieces using multiple control and measurement methods
- Fabricate basic tools and equipment required for movement and case assembly
- Maintain high quality standards and adherence to production specifications
- Collaborate within production and modern customer service teams
Qualifications
- Secondary education with strong academic performance (très bonnes notes)
