ETA SA, part of the Swatch Group, seeks motivated apprentices for a four-year watchmaking program (EFZ) based in Grenchen. Apprentices will develop expertise in assembling mechanical and electronic movements, chronographs, and complete watches, while performing quality control and functional testing using precision measurement methods. This role encompasses production-floor assembly, hand-finishing, and customer service support, with exposure to both industrial manufacturing and modern service environments.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electronic watch movements and chronographs according to specifications
- Perform precision functional testing and calibration using specialized measurement equipment
- Identify and resolve aesthetic defects, mechanical malfunctions, and production errors through systematic troubleshooting
- Install watch hands, dials, and movements into cases during production and customer service phases
- Fabricate and maintain simple tools and fixtures required for assembly operations
- Maintain high quality standards across all production stages through meticulous attention to detail
- Support customer service operations with watch assembly and repair expertise

Skills

No prior professional experience required; this is an entry-level apprenticeship position.
Education
Lower or middle-level compulsory education (Sekundarstufe I or equivalent); successful completion of lower secondary school strongly preferred.
