ETA SA Manufacture Horlogère Suisse, part of the Swatch Group, seeks a skilled Polymechanic or Tool & Die specialist to join its Tool & Die department supporting the injection molding operations for Swatch and Flik Flak watch heads. The successful candidate will program, set up, and operate wire and sink erosion machines; assemble and disassemble injection molds; manufacture form inserts and replacement components; perform maintenance and technical modifications; and contribute to ongoing optimization and innovation projects.
Role & Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate wire erosion and sink erosion (EDM) machines with precision
- Assemble and disassemble injection molds for production support
- Manufacture form inserts, individual components, replacement parts, and wear parts for existing or new molds
- Perform maintenance and repair work on injection molding tools
- Process and execute technical modifications to molds and components
- Contribute technical expertise to optimization and innovation projects
- Work collaboratively within a team of 5-10 specialists
Qualifications
- Completed apprenticeship as Polymechanic (Polymechaniker/in) or Tool & Die Maker (Werkzeugmacher/in)
- Demonstrated professional experience in tool & die manufacturing and erosion technology
- Practical knowledge of precision machining in the micron range
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving orientation
- Ability to work to extremely tight tolerances and consistently deliver quality results

Experience
Professional experience in tool & die manufacturing and erosion technology; experience with plastic injection molding technology is advantageous.
Education
Completed apprenticeship as Polymechanic (Polymechaniker/in) or Tool & Die Maker (Werkzeugmacher/in).
Workplace
The role is situated in Grenchen, Solothurn, Switzerland — conveniently close to Basel.
