ETA SA, a high-tech manufacturing subsidiary of the Swatch Group, seeks a production mechanic apprentice for a three-year vocational training programme. The apprentice will fabricate mechanical and quartz watch movements, precision components, and various mechanical parts using modern production machinery. Responsibilities include machine programming and optimization, assembly of sub-assemblies, component repair, and preventive maintenance of production equipment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Fabricate mechanical and precision components for watch movements and mechanical devices using production machinery
- Program and optimize production machines to manufacture small-batch series with high precision standards
- Assemble component sub-groups and repair individual mechanical elements
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, diagnose faults, and restore machinery to operational status
- Work flexible shift schedules in a technologically advanced manufacturing environment
