ETA SA, a high-tech manufacturing subsidiary of the Swatch Group, seeks a motivated apprentice polymechanic to develop skills in precision tooling and mechanical production. Over three years, the apprentice will fabricate tools, components, and devices whilst operating both conventional and computer-controlled machinery, performing CNC programming and optimization, and conducting equipment maintenance and diagnostics for watchmaking and precision mechanical products.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Fabricate precision tools, components, and mechanical devices for horological and general industrial applications
  • Operate and program both conventional and CNC-controlled machinery for small-batch and serial production
  • Optimize machine performance through parameter adjustment and continuous improvement
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery faults and malfunctions
  • Maintain strict quality control and precision standards throughout all manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with production teams to meet ambitious output targets

Qualifications

  • Secondary-level education or middle degree with strong grades in geometry, algebra, calculation, and technical drawing
  • Swiss apprenticeship eligibility or equivalent qualification
  • Strong practical and technical aptitude
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precision work standards
