ETA SA (Swatch Group) in Fontainemelon, Switzerland seeks a Production Mechanic Apprentice (CFC) — 3‑year apprenticeship in watch movement manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Complete a three‑year CFC apprenticeship in production mechanics under the guidance of professional trainers.
- Assemble, adjust and test small mechanical components and subassemblies used in watch movement production.
- Operate and monitor production machinery and precision equipment in compliance with technical specifications and safety rules.
- Perform routine quality controls, dimensional measurements and basic troubleshooting to ensure conformity to standards.
- Keep accurate production records and follow documented procedures; participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Attend vocational school and integrate classroom learning with on‑the‑job practice.
Qualifications
- Completed compulsory schooling (or equivalent) and eligibility for a Swiss apprenticeship programme (CFC).
- Strong manual dexterity, steady hands and excellent visual acuity for fine mechanical work.
