ETA SA Grenchen seeks Polymechanics Apprentice (4-year EFZ programme) beginning 2027 in precision watchmaking manufacturing.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Master the fundamentals of precision mechanics and mechanical systems under the supervision of qualified trainers
  • Develop practical skills in the manufacture and assembly of mechanical components and timepiece movements
  • Progress through structured rotations across production departments to gain comprehensive knowledge of watchmaking processes
  • Operate precision machinery and tools to high tolerances in support of ETA's manufacturing operations

Qualifications

  • Compulsory education completed or equivalent qualification
  • Strong aptitude for mechanical reasoning and technical problem-solving
  • Demonstrated interest in precision engineering and manufacturing
  • Proficiency in German (native or near-fluent level required for Swiss apprenticeship system)
