ETA SA seeks a Plastic Technology Technician for MIM green part production in Grenchen, Switzerland. Full-time role in precision watch manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Set up and configure injection moulding equipment for green part manufacturing
- Monitor and optimize MIM process parameters to maintain quality standards
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions
- Conduct quality inspections on produced components
- Maintain and document production records and process data
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations on the production floor
Qualifications
- Technical training or apprenticeship in plastics technology, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering
- Demonstrated experience with injection moulding or metal injection moulding processes
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications
- Understanding of quality control principles and measurement techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in plastic technology, injection moulding setup, or equivalent manufacturing environment, preferably within precision industries such as watchmaking, automotive, or medical device manufacturing.
Education
Completed apprenticeship (CFC/EFZ) in plastics technology, mechanical engineering, or industrial technology; or equivalent technical qualification.
