ETA SA seeks Measurement Specialist in Grenchen, Switzerland. Lead GD&T and MSA expertise for Swatch watch manufacturing.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define measurement methods and appropriate gauge setups for watch components and horological production
  • Ensure integration of measurement instruments into production workflows and validate measurement capability (MSA)
  • Guarantee measurement traceability and support FSTR documentation requirements
  • Establish and standardize measurement programs on Keyence, Hexagon, and Vertex platforms
  • Train and support production collaborators on measurement equipment operation and best practices
  • Analyze errors related to measurement programs and provide technical problem-solving for non-standard issues
  • Order and maintain calibration tools (plug gauges, ring gauges, etc.) and integrate new tools into the GMS database
  • Participate in continuous improvement of measurement processes and contribute technical expertise to quality assurance initiatives

Qualifications

  • Advanced technical qualification (technical school, ES, BTS, or equivalent)
  • Quality assurance certification (TQ1); metrology specialization is an asset
  • Confirmed experience of at least 5 years in an industrial environment, ideally in the watchmaking sector
  • Expert proficiency with both automatic and manual measurement equipment
  • Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Proficiency with standard IT tools, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Experience

Confirmed experience of at least 5 years in an industrial manufacturing environment, with demonstrated expertise in measurement systems, quality control processes, and ideally within the watchmaking or precision mechanical sectors.

Education

Advanced technical qualification such as a technical school diploma, ES (École Supérieure), BTS (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur), or equivalent certification. Quality assurance certification (TQ1) is required; specialization in metrology is advantageous.
