ETA SA, a high-tech manufacturing division of the Swatch Group, seeks a three-year apprentice for the Automated Machine Operator role. The apprentice will configure and monitor modern production and packaging installations, maintain production capacity utilization, and perform routine mechanical maintenance tasks. This position offers comprehensive technical training under professional supervision, covering the complete production chain from raw materials to finished timepieces.
Role & Responsibilities
- Configure and monitor automated production and packaging installations, including screw-tightening and position verification systems
- Coordinate and manage individual production processes while ensuring equipment performance throughout manufacturing cycles
- Perform routine mechanical maintenance and preventive upkeep tasks on production machinery
- Respond immediately to equipment malfunctions and coordinate with technicians when specialized intervention is required
- Maintain awareness of the complete production chain from raw materials to finished products
- Ensure consistent production capacity utilization and productivity levels
Qualifications
- Swiss Certificat d'aptitude professionnelle (CFC) or equivalent apprenticeship certification
- Minimum secondary school education or equivalent
- Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
- Logical reasoning and analytical capability
- Immediate recognition and correction of technical defects
- Willingness to assume operational responsibility
