ETA SA seeks Head of Quality Assurance in Grenchen, Switzerland. Lead quality management for precision watch component manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop the quality assurance team
- Establish overall responsibility for quality management across development, projects, production, and customer quality
- Define, implement, and oversee inspection and release processes
- Analyze quality metrics and initiate corrective and preventive actions
- Collaborate actively with production, development, and project management on process and product optimization
- Conduct and oversee internal audits (5S, process, workplace, product) and ensure implementation of corrective measures
- Manage non-conformity handling and escalation across the facility
- Prepare quality reports and track performance against objectives
- Direct the on-site metrology department, including calibration and certification
- Train and sensitize staff on quality-related topics
- Participate in supplier evaluation through quality assessment of deliveries
Qualifications
- Technical foundation with further education as HF technician or FH engineer
- Strong knowledge of quality management principles and tools
- Experience in plastics manufacturing, particularly injection molding processes
- Multi-year leadership experience
- Excellent communication and customer-orientation skills
- Reliable with strong teamwork and assertiveness capabilities
Skills
Experience
Multiple years of leadership experience in quality assurance or related manufacturing quality functions, preferably within precision manufacturing or plastics production environments.
Education
Technical foundation education with advanced qualification as HF Technician or FH Engineer (or equivalent).
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Grenchen, Solothurn, Switzerland.
