ETA SA, a leading high-tech manufacturing division of the Swatch Group, seeks an Electrical Technician Apprentice (4-year vocational program) for its Grenchen facility. The apprentice will design, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across residential and industrial applications, including building automation, communications infrastructure, and access control systems. Responsibilities include wiring installation, equipment commissioning, functional testing, and customer support for energy-efficient facility operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems from rough construction through final assembly
- Route electrical wiring and cables according to technical specifications
- Connect and commission electrical equipment and installations
- Design and implement building automation, communications, and security systems
- Conduct functional testing and measurements on completed installations
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system failures and malfunctions
- Instruct clients on proper operation and energy-efficient use of electrical systems
Qualifications
- Completion of lower or upper secondary education with strong performance in mathematics
- No color blindness or color vision deficiency
- Technical certification (EFZ - Eidgenössisches Fähigkeitszeugnis) upon completion of apprenticeship

No prior professional experience required; entry-level apprenticeship position for secondary school graduates.

Lower or upper secondary education (Mittlere oder höchste Volksschulstufe) with strong performance in mathematics.
