Estée Lauder VAS Function Manager

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead and build the VAS team towards a continuous improvement culture emphasizing safety, compliance, performance, agility, efficiency, and service quality
• Design and implement end-to-end Chinese Label Management processes and strategies while collaborating with third-party logistics providers
• Establish and maintain close collaboration with Quality, Regulatory, Customer Service, and Brand departments to ensure seamless process integration
• Oversee Label Master data management, label creation, work instruction development, readiness reporting, and KPI tracking to enable timely VAS execution
• Ensure full compliance of VAS activities at the Hainan DC and Kunshan non-saleable DC with all applicable regulations, including bonded/non-bonded warehouse requirements and dangerous goods handling
• Interpret workload demands and resource allocation to optimize timely execution while managing highly volatile and complex operational environments
• Lead cross-functional improvement projects along the entire process chain in alignment with supply chain counterparts
• Drive VAS-Administration solutions to integrate new requirements and maintain artwork/work instruction compliance with HP permit conditions
• Develop and communicate statistics, reports, and presentations on VAS performance to team members and senior management
• Coach and develop team members through active management of individual development plans and skill matrix maintenance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics with specialization in Logistics
• 10+ years of experience in complex international logistics with proven track record in cross-functional project management and team leadership
• Strong expertise in process mapping, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
• Demonstrated experience leading people in both direct and indirect reporting structures
• Proven stakeholder management and ability to interact professionally with governmental organizations (customs, aviation authorities)
• Track record of organizational turnarounds and implementation of new ways of working
• Team building and coaching experience with organizational development background
• Fluency in English and Chinese (verbal, reading, and writing proficiency)
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Knowledge of SAP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), MRP, DRP, and inventory planning systems
• Strong analytical capabilities with ability to operate independently in complex, fast-paced environments
• Conflict resolution and strong interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and decision-making capability under pressure

10 years of progressive experience in complex international logistics, including direct and indirect team leadership, cross-functional project management, and supply chain optimization. Demonstrated success in managing Value-Added Services, distribution center operations, regulatory compliance, and multi-stakeholder coordination in international trade environments. Proven ability to build high-performing teams and drive organizational transformation in dynamic, regulated industries.

Bachelor's degree in Economics with specialization in Logistics
