Estée Lauder Companies seeks a skilled Makeup Artist to deliver creative and personalized in-store beauty experiences at the Cosmetics Company Store in Estero, Florida. The role combines technical makeup application expertise with exceptional customer service to educate and inspire clients while maintaining premium visual merchandising standards. The candidate will contribute to high-performing retail teams, execute in-store events, and support the brand's competitive positioning within prestige beauty.
Role & Responsibilities
- Apply makeup artistry techniques and creative expertise to provide personalized, consultative beauty services to customers
- Educate clients on product benefits, application techniques, and skincare best practices to drive product adoption and satisfaction
- Execute in-store beauty events and promotional activities as part of a collaborative retail team
- Maintain and enhance visual merchandising standards and product displays to elevate brand presentation and store aesthetics
- Operate point-of-sale software and process transactions efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service
- Work flexibly across retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced retail environment
- Demonstrate authentic, inspirational customer engagement and support achievement of store performance objectives
Qualifications
- Certification in makeup artistry or equivalent professional experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in makeup application techniques and color theory
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional, personalized customer service in a retail or luxury environment
- Proficiency with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Flexibility to work retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events
- Right to live and work in the United States
Skills
Experience
While previous retail makeup experience or professional makeup artistry certification is preferred, applicants demonstrating strong creative and technical expertise and customer service acumen are encouraged to apply. Amateur-level experience with proven aptitude for beauty application and client engagement is considered.
Education
Certification in makeup artistry is preferred; however, formal education is not required. High school diploma or equivalent is expected.

The successful candidate will be located in Estero, Florida, USA, with easy access to Fort Myers.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 17.50 to USD 21 per hour.
