A Counter Manager for Estée Lauder reporting to Boots Drogheda, responsible for driving sales turnover and market share while maintaining a credible brand image and ensuring consumer focus. The role encompasses sales optimization, retail operations excellence, visual merchandising, consumer engagement, and compliance with company procedures across a prestige beauty counter environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive sales turnover and market share growth while maintaining consistent brand image and retail standards
- Achieve and exceed daily and weekly sales targets through strategic selling techniques and exceptional service delivery
- Develop and execute a consumer recruitment and retention strategy to build a loyal customer base
- Oversee visual merchandising layouts and promotional displays in accordance with brand guidelines and retail standards
- Manage inventory replenishment, stock movements, and associated administrative procedures within agreed timeframes
- Implement and maintain health and safety protocols, ensuring the counter meets minimum operational grading standards during audits
- Lead and mentor retail team members, fostering a culture of excellence and brand ambassadorship
- Monitor competitor activity and identify missed market opportunities to enhance positioning
- Leverage digital tools, social media channels, and omnichannel platforms to drive business growth and enhance brand presence
- Execute local marketing and event initiatives aligned with retailer activity and brand strategy

Qualifications
- Proven experience in a fast-paced retail and/or consumer-facing environment
- Commercial understanding and awareness of the prestige beauty and cosmetics industry
- Demonstrated ability to drive self-development and continuous improvement
- Effective communication, organization, and prioritization skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a fast-paced retail environment, preferably in prestige beauty, luxury goods, or consumer-facing roles with demonstrated responsibility for sales achievement and team coordination.
Education
Secondary education or equivalent; additional retail management certifications or beauty industry training preferred.
