Role & Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials shipped to and from interplant and external facilities
- Verify accuracy of transactions and physically inspect goods to validate condition and match production records
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment to retrieve, store, replenish, and load materials throughout the facility
- Utilize warehouse management systems to document and process shipping and receiving orders
- Ensure correct pallets are built and utilized according to EXACTA and customer supplier specifications
- Maintain inventory accuracy and stock control as required by facility standards
- Troubleshoot and communicate logistical problems to ensure timely turnover in shipping and sortation areas
- Complete pre-shift checklists on all powered equipment, including battery water levels, charging, and cleaning
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment including pallet sorting, cardboard wrapping, and quality documentation
- Adhere to all safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Assist in training new employees as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some experience in a general warehouse environment (preferred)
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of basic Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Forklift certification required within 90 days of employment
- Powered Material Handling Equipment (PMHE) License
- Effective English communication skills, reading and writing
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. maximum and frequently lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand for several hours daily
- Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
