The Estée Lauder Companies seeks a Work Area Lead for 1st Shift operations at its Bristol, Pennsylvania distribution facility. This role oversees the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a defined work area within the distribution center, supervising a team of associates, optimizing workflow, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring adherence to company safety and operational protocols.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of distribution center associates to ensure optimal productivity and engagement
- Monitor work area operations to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency standards in accordance with company policies
- Coordinate daily workflows, staffing assignments, and task prioritization to meet distribution targets
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Conduct training and coaching to develop associate skills and ensure compliance with operational procedures
- Report on key performance metrics, including throughput, accuracy, and safety incidents
Qualifications
- Demonstrated supervisory or lead experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of distribution center operations, logistics, and inventory management
- Ability to motivate and manage team members effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance in distribution settings
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in distribution center operations, warehouse management, or logistics supervision; prior lead or supervisory role in a unionized or non-unionized distribution environment preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent (GED); some college-level coursework or professional certifications in supply chain management a plus.
