The Estée Lauder Companies seeks a Senior Lead for Finance Platform Engineering to provide strategic engineering leadership and governance of the enterprise Finance platform portfolio. Reporting to the Executive Director of ERP & Value Chain Platform Engineering, this role oversees engineering realization, modernization planning, platform optimization, and long-term health across SAP ECC, Financial Close, General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Controlling, Treasury, and Finance integrations. The successful candidate will lead Finance Platform Engineering Managers and cross-functional teams across Enterprise Business Services and strategic technology partners, ensuring delivery excellence, production readiness, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards in a complex global environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day engineering operations for the Finance Platform Engineering organization, including direct management of Finance Platform Engineering Managers while executing approved platform strategy through engineering realization, modernization delivery, platform optimization, and long-term platform health
- Provide engineering leadership across core Finance capabilities including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Controlling, Treasury, Financial Close, and Finance integrations, ensuring delivery of approved business requirements and solution designs
- Establish and maintain engineering governance, technical quality standards, release readiness protocols, platform lifecycle management, and delivery controls supporting enterprise Finance platforms
- Lead engineering capacity planning, resource forecasting, and delivery planning to support approved business demand while maintaining engineering quality, platform stability, and delivery commitments
- Consolidate engineering risks, technical dependencies, delivery status, and platform readiness across Finance initiatives, proactively escalating issues that impact solution designs, architecture standards, security requirements, or delivery commitments
- Drive continuous improvement through platform optimization, engineering automation, environment strategy, technical debt remediation, modernization delivery, and operational efficiency initiatives
- Partner with Finance Product and Technology leaders to translate approved business requirements and product roadmaps into engineering realization plans supporting enterprise Finance capabilities and strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Business Services, business stakeholders, and strategic technology partners to successfully deliver Finance platform modernization and transformation initiatives
- Provide engineering and organizational leadership through technical expertise, mentoring, and coaching of Finance Platform Engineering Managers and engineering teams across the organization
- Champion modern engineering practices, AI-enabled engineering capabilities, automation, reusable engineering assets, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and platform quality
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, innovation, and engineering excellence while strengthening organizational capability across the Finance Platform Engineering organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience governing enterprise Finance platforms, ERP applications, or Finance technology organizations within complex global enterprises
- Demonstrated leadership experience governing large-scale SAP ECC Finance environments supporting Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Controlling, Treasury, and Financial Reporting capabilities
- Deep understanding of SAP ECC and the broader SAP application ecosystem supporting enterprise Finance business capabilities, with experience in financial consolidation platforms and enterprise performance management solutions
- Proven ability to develop engineering roadmaps, lifecycle plans, and modernization strategies supporting approved platform strategy while balancing technical sustainability, engineering capacity, and operational excellence
- Experience supporting global Consumer Packaged Goods, Manufacturing, Retail, or similarly complex multinational organizations with large-scale Finance transformation initiatives
- Demonstrated success leading and developing Finance Platform Engineering Managers and engineering teams across complex enterprise technology organizations
- Strong understanding of enterprise Finance transformation, SAP ERP modernization strategies, Agile delivery methodologies, Software Development Life Cycle, DevSecOps, and modern engineering practices

7+ years of progressive leadership experience governing enterprise Finance platforms, ERP applications, or Finance technology organizations within complex global enterprises. Demonstrated expertise in leading large-scale SAP ECC Finance environments and enterprise Finance platform transformation initiatives. Proven success managing engineering realization across Enterprise Business Services, strategic technology partners, and global engineering organizations. Strong background in establishing engineering governance, platform optimization, and modernization delivery in multinational Consumer Packaged Goods, Manufacturing, or Retail environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
