Estée Lauder Companies Production Mechanic
Estée Lauder Mechanic II position in Melville, NY - 3rd shift production role with equipment maintenance and HMI operation responsibilities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate complex machinery via HMI interfaces with precise control over production parameters
- Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance (PM) and end-to-end equipment changeovers to maximize uptime and machine longevity
- Diagnose and troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical failures with sustainable solutions to minimize operational downtime
- Manage work orders, parts procurement, and asset history documentation using CMMS (IBM Maximo)
- Maintain strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and participate in EH&S and BBS programs to ensure zero-incident operations
- Ensure compliance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and GDP (Good Documentation Practices) to maintain product integrity and audit readiness
- Identify, own, and execute line-side improvement projects to reduce scrap and prevent deviations
- Support diverse business areas and production schedules with flexibility and reliability
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex machinery and identifying root causes of failures
- Experience with CMMS software, preferably IBM Maximo
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and cGMP/GDP procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Team-oriented with strong leadership and independent judgment abilities
- Resourcefulness and strong interpersonal skills
- Positive outlook with high energy level suited to a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Skills
Experience
Demonstrated experience operating production equipment, performing maintenance activities, and working in a regulated manufacturing environment. History of excellent attendance and self-motivation required. Experience with beauty or cosmetics manufacturing is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical systems is preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 22.75 to USD 37.75 per hour.
