Estée Lauder Companies seeks an Organizational Effectiveness Engagement Director in New York to lead enterprise design and transformation engagements.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex organizational effectiveness engagements, with accountability for outcomes, quality, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Advise senior leaders on organizational strategies aligned with business priorities.
  • Define engagement scope, objectives, delivery plans, and governance.
  • Manage stakeholder alignment, risks, and competing priorities to ensure successful execution.
  • Lead organizational design and operating model initiatives covering structures, governance, roles, decision rights, and ways of working.
  • Translate strategic objectives into practical, scalable organizational solutions.
  • Use workforce planning and analytics insights to inform recommendations.
  • Apply consistent methodologies while accommodating business-specific needs.
  • Design and lead change strategies for large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Drive leadership alignment and sponsorship to support adoption and sustained outcomes.
  • Oversee communication and engagement plans that build clarity, commitment, and momentum.
  • Connect change efforts to measurable business outcomes and value realization.
  • Establish disciplined delivery practices, including planning, governance, milestone tracking, and quality assurance.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks.
  • Ensure alignment across concurrent initiatives and prevent duplication or conflicting design decisions.
  • Maintain high standards for execution, quality, and results.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to integrate organizational design and workforce planning into strategic initiatives and ongoing business operations.
  • Collaborate with People Experience Team leaders to support effective implementation and change adoption.
  • Lead and develop Engagement Partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Coach team members to strengthen consulting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Model a pragmatic, results-oriented approach that balances strategy and execution.
  • Contribute to the evolution of organizational effectiveness methodologies, tools, and playbooks.

Qualifications

  • 12–15+ years of progressive HR, Organizational Effectiveness, or related experience.
  • Deep expertise in organizational design, operating models, and change management.
  • Proven success leading complex enterprise transformation initiatives from design through implementation.
  • Experience influencing senior leaders in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate strategy into actionable organizational solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and stakeholder trust.
  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
