The Estée Lauder Companies seeks a Material Handler to support distribution operations in a fast-paced manufacturing and fulfillment environment. This position involves loading and unloading materials, operating material handling equipment, managing inventory transactions via warehouse management systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and safe work environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials from interplant and external facilities using manual and powered material handling equipment
- Verify transaction accuracy against production records and physically inspect goods to validate condition
- Operate warehouse management systems to document and process shipping and receiving orders
- Build and manage pallets according to EXACTA and customer supplier specifications
- Retrieve, put away, and replenish materials throughout the facility and load onto transportation vehicles
- Maintain inventory accuracy, stock control, and cleanliness of the work environment
- Complete pre-shift equipment checklists, including battery water levels, charging status, and cleaning
- Troubleshoot and communicate problems to ensure timely turnover in shipping and sortation areas
- Follow all safety and good manufacturing practice (GMP) protocols
- Assist in training new employees and perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred
- Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate Microsoft Windows Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Forklift certification mandatory within 90 days of hire
- Powered Material Handling Equipment (PMHE) License required
- Effective communication skills with demonstrated proficiency in English (reading and writing)
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs maximum, with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift

Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
