Role & Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials shipped to and from interplant and outside facilities
- Verify accuracy of transactions and physical condition of goods through inspection
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment to retrieve, putaway, and replenish materials
- Utilize warehouse management systems to document and process shipping and receiving orders
- Ensure correct pallets are built according to EXACTA and customer supplier criteria
- Maintain inventory accuracy and stock control as required
- Communicate problems to ensure timely resolution in shipping and sortation areas
- Complete pre-shift checklists on powered material handling equipment including battery maintenance and cleaning
- Maintain clean work environment and manage pallet sorting and wrapping
- Follow all safety protocols and good manufacturing practices (GMP)
- Assist in training new employees as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some experience in a general warehouse environment preferred
- Proficiency with basic Microsoft Windows Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Forklift certification (required within 90 days of employment)
- Powered Material Handling Equipment (PMHE) License
- Effective English communication skills (reading and writing)
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift 50 lbs maximum; frequently lift and carry up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for several hours daily
- Problem-solving and attention to detail
Skills
Experience
Some experience in a general warehouse environment is preferred, though entry-level candidates with strong physical capabilities and mechanical aptitude will be considered.
