Estée Lauder Companies seeks a Machine Setup Technician in Lachen, Switzerland for rotating shift production work.
Role & Responsibilities
- Configure, commission, and maintain production equipment with technical oversight of production runs
- Execute autonomous maintenance activities including cleaning, inspection, lubrication tasks, and anomaly detection; collaborate closely with operators to strengthen production line technical capabilities
- Record and manage operational and machinery data including parameter standards, machine logs, and shift reports
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on production machinery
- Optimize production processes through tooling improvements, equipment parameter adjustments, and participation in autonomous maintenance and continuous improvement projects
- Develop and maintain training documentation for production line operators
- Instruct and train production staff on autonomous maintenance methodologies, equipment operation, technical standards, and best practices
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training in a technical discipline (polymechanics in plant engineering, agricultural machinery mechanics, construction equipment mechanics, plant operator EFZ, automotive mechatronics)
- Demonstrated willingness for shift work (rotating early and late shifts) and Saturday assignments
- Relevant professional experience in a similar position maintaining production equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with problem-solving methodologies (Fishbone, 5W, etc.)
- Strong competency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint)
- Ability to develop work instructions, training materials, and assessment tools; awareness of hygiene and GMP requirements
- Fluent German language skills (mandatory); proficiency in English (advantageous)
