The Estée Lauder Companies seeks a skilled makeup artist and beauty advisor to deliver personalized, inspirational in-store experiences at its prestige cosmetics retail location. The role combines creative and technical expertise with customer engagement, in-store event coordination, and visual merchandising execution to drive sales and brand loyalty. Candidates with makeup artistry certification or prior retail beauty experience are preferred; however, applicants demonstrating exceptional creative and technical capability are welcome.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide personalized makeup consultations and applications that educate and inspire customers in a welcoming environment
- Execute in-store point-of-sale transactions and maintain proficiency with retail POS software
- Coordinate and participate in in-store beauty events and product launches to create customer engagement and drive sales impact
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and product displays to represent the brand competitively
- Deliver authentic, consultative customer service that reflects the prestige and heritage of Estée Lauder brands
- Work flexibly across retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Makeup artistry certification or professional retail beauty experience preferred; amateur-level expertise with demonstrable creative and technical capability also considered
- Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service in a retail setting
- Proficiency with retail point-of-sale (POS) software systems
- Availability to work flexible retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
- Legal authorization to live and work in the United States
Skills
Experience
While certification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience is preferred, candidates with amateur-level experience demonstrating high creative and technical expertise are encouraged to apply.
