Estée Lauder Companies Executive Director of Global Procurement Strategy

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise value creation and cost management initiatives across procured goods and services, accelerating the savings pillar of the global procurement strategy through creative design and cross-functional program management
• Collaborate with the Chief Procurement Officer, Global Supplier Management leadership, and business leaders worldwide to develop integrated procurement capabilities that deliver measurable value realization and cost optimization
• Structure and facilitate upstream ideation to accelerate value creation, drive design-thinking workshops, and curate business requirements with Brand and Function teams
• Orchestrate cross-functional execution across procurement, brands, packaging, R&D, engineering, supply chain teams, and external suppliers to ensure data-driven outcomes and accountability
• Oversee project management and governance using enterprise digital value creation and savings platforms, mediating roadblocks and managing timeline escalations
• Manage procured cost of goods (COGS) budgeting, operational expenditure, capital expenditure, and purchase price variance (PPV) operations on a monthly basis
• Govern global sourcing value creation portfolios and sourcing recommendation committees, collaborating with Finance and Global Supplier Management to validate financial results
• Define and lead enterprise procurement data and analytics strategy, establishing scalable frameworks for data sourcing, capture, architecture, governance, and quality standards
• Own the procurement analytics and data visualization ecosystem, delivering actionable insights and enabling data-driven decision-making across the enterprise
• Lead the global procurement technology and AI portfolio, prioritizing investments and executing programs to maximize return on technology investments
• Champion the development and scaling of procurement and source-to-pay AI capabilities, embedding advanced analytics and automation into core processes
• Deliver executive-level reporting, including Chief Procurement Officer scorecards, brand performance metrics, category analysis, and global value creation reviews

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or Data Science
• CPA and/or MBA in Finance or Business Management (preferred)
• 15+ years of progressive experience with Fortune 500 companies or tier-one management consulting firms in procurement, cost analysis, source-to-pay processes, procurement technologies, and enterprise analytics
• Proven strategic leadership with demonstrated ability to develop, enable, and deploy transformational strategic initiatives at enterprise scale
• Extensive experience leading complex project teams through all phases with disciplined process discipline and governance
• Deep expertise in sourcing, procurement, payables processes, and source-to-pay transformation within large multinational organizations
• Advanced proficiency with SAP ERP, Ariba, Coupa, and similar enterprise procurement systems
• Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated expertise in spend analytics platforms such as GEP Smart or SpendHQ
• Exceptional executive communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and drive transparency across all organizational levels
• Proven ability to apply innovation methodologies such as design thinking to drive business objectives
• Demonstrated expertise in managing cross-cultural change initiatives and organizational transformation in multinational environments

Experience

15+ years of progressive responsibility in procurement, supply chain operations, or management consulting with Fortune 500 companies, with substantial expertise in cost analysis, source-to-pay transformation, enterprise procurement systems implementation, and data-driven decision-making across large multinational organizations.

Education

Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or Data Science. CPA and/or MBA in Finance or Business Management preferred.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 158,000 to USD 273,000 per annum.
