Estée Lauder Companies Executive Director, ERP & Value Chain Platform Engineering

Role & Responsibilities

• Own the platform roadmap, lifecycle strategy, modernization initiatives, and long-term evolution of the ERP & Value Chain platform portfolio supporting Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, Procurement, Warehouse Management, and Research & Development
• Partner with Enterprise Product Design Engineering and Tech, Data & Analytics leaders to translate approved business capabilities into coordinated platform roadmaps, engineering realization plans, and technology investment strategies
• Lead enterprise platform modernization initiatives that strengthen ERP capabilities, optimize end-to-end business processes, improve technical sustainability, and enable future-ready business platforms
• Balance business priorities, engineering capacity, modernization objectives, operational readiness, and long-term platform sustainability across a complex portfolio of enterprise business platforms
• Provide stewardship of platform technology investments, vendor relationships, engineering tooling, software licensing, and technology contracts supporting the ERP & Value Chain platform portfolio
• Own successful delivery outcomes across the ERP & Value Chain platform portfolio while governing engineering realization delivered through Enterprise Business Services and strategic technology partners
• Establish accountability for engineering quality, platform health, release readiness, environment strategy, operational readiness, and cross-platform dependencies
• Drive platform optimization through continuous evaluation of environment utilization, landscape strategy, platform capacity, technology utilization, software licensing, data lifecycle management, engineering tooling, and engineering operating efficiency
• Govern engineering standards, platform quality, modernization initiatives, technical sustainability, and delivery governance across the ERP & Value Chain platform portfolio
• Establish engineering performance metrics, governance practices, and operational measures that improve predictability, engineering quality, platform health, and long-term business outcomes
• Partner across Enterprise Product Design Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Operations & Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Tech, Data & Analytics leaders, Enterprise Business Services, and strategic technology partners to ensure enterprise business capabilities are successfully realized through scalable, resilient, and standards-based platforms
• Ensure engineering solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, approved technology principles, SAP modernization strategies, and established engineering patterns
• Ensure security requirements, remediation priorities, compliance obligations, and enterprise controls are incorporated into platform planning, engineering realization, and modernization activities
• Drive alignment across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, Procurement, Warehouse Management, Research & Development, Enterprise Architecture, Operations, Security, and strategic technology partners to proactively resolve cross-platform dependencies, engineering risks, and delivery challenges
• Lead and develop Platform Engineering Directors while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Champion engineering excellence through standardized engineering practices, reusable engineering assets, automation, AI-enabled engineering capabilities, and continuous modernization
• Develop organizational capability by establishing clear career pathways, succession plans, technical mentoring, and leadership development programs that strengthen engineering capability and prepare future platform leaders
• Drive adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices and modern software engineering capabilities that improve engineering productivity, platform quality, technical sustainability, and delivery effectiveness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience governing enterprise ERP, Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, Research & Development, or Value Chain technology platforms within complex global organizations
• Demonstrated executive leadership experience governing large-scale SAP ERP environments supporting global Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Order Management, Warehouse Management, Planning, and Research & Development business capabilities
• Deep understanding of SAP ECC and the broader SAP application ecosystem supporting enterprise Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Order Management, Warehouse Management, Planning, and Research & Development capabilities
• Experience with enterprise planning platforms (e.g., o9) and modern Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms highly desirable
• Proven ability to develop long-term platform strategies that balance business priorities, technical sustainability, modernization objectives, engineering capacity, and operational excellence
• Executive leadership experience governing Enterprise Business Services (EBS), strategic technology partners, and global technology organizations while maintaining accountability for platform outcomes
• Demonstrated experience governing enterprise ERP and Value Chain platform portfolios from build through production acceptance while ensuring engineering quality, delivery predictability, platform health, and operational readiness
• Proven ability to establish engineering governance, platform standards, modernization strategies, release governance, environment strategies, and lifecycle management practices supporting large enterprise platforms
• Experience driving platform optimization through landscape simplification, environment utilization, technology modernization, engineering operating efficiency, software licensing optimization, data lifecycle management, and technical sustainability
• Strong understanding of enterprise ERP modernization, SAP platform strategy, Agile delivery methodologies, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), DevSecOps, and modern engineering practices
• Ability to balance modernization initiatives, delivery commitments, engineering quality, technology risk, platform stability, operational readiness, and long-term business value across a diverse enterprise platform portfolio
• Proven ability to build trusted executive partnerships across Enterprise Product Design Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Operations & Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Tech, Data & Analytics leaders, Enterprise Business Services, Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Research & Development, and strategic technology partners
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, organizational influence, and collaboration skills with the ability to align diverse technology and business organizations around common platform objectives
• Demonstrated experience translating enterprise business strategies into platform roadmaps, modernization initiatives, engineering realization plans, and technology investment strategies
• Proven ability to lead complex enterprise transformation initiatives spanning multiple business functions, technologies, and global operating regions
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale SAP ERP modernization initiatives, enterprise platform transformations, cloud adoption strategies, and business capability modernization programs
• Strong understanding of SAP ECC, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), enterprise planning platforms (e.g., o9), and modern Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms
• Experience governing platform technology investments, engineering tooling, software licensing, technology contracts, vendor relationships, and long-term platform sustainability
• Proven ability to leverage AI-enabled engineering capabilities, automation, reusable engineering assets, and modern engineering practices to improve engineering productivity, platform quality, and technology maturity

Experience

10+ years of progressive leadership experience governing enterprise ERP, Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, Research & Development, or Value Chain technology platforms within complex global organizations. Demonstrated executive leadership experience governing large-scale SAP ERP environments supporting global Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Order Management, Warehouse Management, Planning, and Research & Development business capabilities. Proven track record leading large-scale SAP ERP modernization initiatives, enterprise platform transformations, cloud adoption strategies, and business capability modernization programs. Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing platform engineering organizations and teams within complex enterprise technology environments.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 177,100 to USD 304,500 per annum.
