Estée Lauder Companies seeks an engineering intern for a 12+ week placement at its Oevel, Belgium facility to contribute to an innovative automation project within the production operations team. The successful candidate will analyze, optimize, and reprogram existing equipment used in the Clinique product line, specifically a machine that applies caps to cases, ensuring the process operates automatically, maintains quality standards, and achieves line-speed targets. This role offers substantial independence and direct application of theoretical engineering knowledge in a dynamic, prestige beauty manufacturing environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate on a concrete automation project within Clinique production operations
- Analyze and optimize existing equipment performance for cap-to-case application
- Reprogram or redesign equipment to achieve automatic, quality-assured, and line-speed operation
- Apply theoretical engineering knowledge through independent, hands-on work
- Contribute ideas and insights in an innovation-focused manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electromechanics, Engineering, or related discipline
- Strong analytical capabilities and structured working methodology
- Initiative-taking mindset with effective communication skills
- Availability for a minimum of 12 weeks (longer placements preferred)
- Start date between January, February, or March 2026

Currently enrolled in an engineering-focused Bachelor's or Master's programme; previous internship or project experience in manufacturing or automation is advantageous but not required.
