Estée Lauder Companies seeks an Employee Health and Safety Specialist to support site compliance with Ministry of Labour, environmental, and local regulations through inspections, audits, and systematic follow-ups. The role encompasses developing and maintaining EHS standard operating procedures, leading risk assessments, coordinating training programs, conducting site inspections, managing incident investigations, and promoting employee engagement in continuous EHS improvement initiatives across the manufacturing facility.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support site compliance with Ministry of Labour and Ministry of Environment and Climate Change regulations through comprehensive inspections, audits, and follow-up activities
- Develop, update, and maintain EHS Level II standard operating procedures, forms, and training materials aligned with current regulatory requirements and global EHS standards
- Lead environmental health and safety risk assessments and coordinate implementation of corrective actions
- Maintain, coordinate, and organize EHS training programs including PIT and other compliance requirements, with support for procurement and budget management
- Perform regular site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and equipment issues
- Assist with data collection, verification, and reporting for all EHS programs, particularly environmental regulations
- Deliver and continuously improve EHS training sessions for new hires and recurring compliance programs
- Participate in incident investigations, support the reporting process, and collaborate with operations and engineering teams to resolve root causes
- Identify and support sustainability initiatives including recycling and energy conservation programs
- Collaborate with facility, distribution, and operations teams to identify and mitigate EHS risks
- Participate in internal and external audits and support implementation of innovative solutions
- Monitor and contribute to achievement of EHS key performance indicators and dashboard reporting
- Promote active employee engagement in EHS programs and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Collaborate with EHS managers and the broader EHS team to integrate initiatives and share best practices across the organization
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in an EHS-related role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings
- CRST certification with progress toward CRSP, EP, ROH, or CIH
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with EHS software and tools
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

2–4 years in an EHS-related role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
Education
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
