Role & Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials shipped to and from interplant and outside facilities
- Verify accuracy of transactions and physical condition of goods through inspection
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment to retrieve, putaway, and replenish materials throughout the facility
- Utilize warehouse management systems to document and process shipping and receiving orders
- Ensure correct pallets are constructed according to EXACTA and customer supplier criteria
- Maintain inventory accuracy and stock control as required
- Troubleshoot and communicate problems to ensure timely turnover in shipping and sortation areas
- Complete pre-shift checklists on powered material handling equipment including battery maintenance and charging
- Maintain a clean work environment by sorting pallets, wrapping stacked cardboard, and communicating quality issues
- Follow all safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Assist with training of new employees as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification (mandatory after 90 days)
- Powered Material Handling Equipment (PMHE) License
- Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate Microsoft Windows Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Effective English communication skills—reading and writing
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift maximum 50 lbs and frequently carry up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for several hours daily
- Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
