Role & Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials from interplant and outside facilities
- Verify accuracy of transactions and conduct physical inspection of goods to validate condition
- Operate manual and power material handling equipment for retrieval, putaway, and replenishment throughout the facility
- Utilize warehouse management systems to document and process shipping and receiving orders
- Ensure correct pallets are built according to EXACTA and customer supplier specifications
- Maintain inventory accuracy and stock control as required
- Troubleshoot and communicate problems to ensure timely turnover in shipping and sortation areas
- Complete pre-shift checklists on powered material handling equipment including battery water, charging, and cleaning
- Maintain clean work environment including sorting pallets and wrapping stacked cardboard
- Follow all safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP)
- Assist with training of new employees as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification mandatory after 90 days
- Powered Material Handling Equipment (PMHE) License required
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift maximum 50 lbs and frequently carry up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for several hours daily
- Problem-solving and attention to detail
Skills
Experience
Experience in a general warehouse environment is preferred; the role is suitable for entry-level candidates with foundational warehouse or logistics exposure.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
