Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an integrated internal communications strategy that aligns employees with the company's mission, values, and strategic direction across all channels including leadership messaging, live events, digital platforms, email, intranet, and emerging channels
- Lead internal communications initiatives that promote business priorities, strengthen organizational culture, enhance employee retention, and celebrate workforce contributions in partnership with regional business leaders, HR, and global counterparts
- Strengthen executive visibility of the extended leadership group through authentic communication initiatives and ensure effective cascades of global, regional, and functional messages across all audiences
- Prepare executives for employee engagements and internal events by developing presentations, speeches, talking points, town hall messaging, and video scripts
- Develop clear, insight-led narratives on key regional announcements and programs by parsing business performance, industry, and consumer data to shape internal dialogue
- Guide internal communications efforts during organizational change and sensitive people-related matters to ensure clarity, transparency, and trust; own internal communications component during crisis scenarios including safety incidents and workforce matters
- Maintain a year-long internal communications editorial calendar, produce internal events including vendor sourcing and management, and standardize internal protocols
- Manage departmental budget including planning, forecasting, vendor management, and expense tracking; measure effectiveness across channels and refine strategy based on engagement metrics and employee feedback
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field
- 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, public affairs, and/or issues management
- Proven experience in organizational transformation and change communications
- Experience advising senior executives in high-stakes situations
- Ability to operate at pace, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Proven ability to influence across a highly matrixed organization
- Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder management capability
- Sound judgment and calm under pressure
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong editorial judgment
- Ability to turn complex business topics into clear, engaging content
- Portfolio or work samples of writing and editorial placements required
Skills
Experience
10+ years in corporate communications, internal communications, public affairs, or issues management. Experience in beauty, wellness, personal care, retail, or luxury industries preferred. Agency experience is a plus. Demonstrated expertise in organizational transformation, change communications, and advising senior executives in complex situations required.
