The Country Tech Lead serves as the principal IT leadership position for Estée Lauder Companies' Thailand operations, orchestrating the alignment of technology strategies with regional business objectives while overseeing both project delivery and operational service management. This role encompasses IT business partnering, portfolio and project management, retail IT services oversight, and financial governance of the affiliate's technology infrastructure. The position acts as the focal escalation point for global and regional IT initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and managing relationships with external managed service providers.
Role & Responsibilities
- Foster and maintain strategic relationships with Thailand affiliate business stakeholders to ensure IT strategies align with regional business objectives
- Provide expert guidance and leadership to IT project teams, ensuring local business relevance and responsiveness to operational concerns
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks and unintended consequences of technology changes on local business operations
- Manage the technology portfolio and roadmap, setting delivery expectations and coordinating with IT PMO, Finance, and other departments
- Facilitate and orchestrate the deployment of global and regional IT initiatives in coordination with deployment teams
- Oversee project managers to ensure delivery against agreed scope, budget, resources, and timelines
- Monitor quality and service level agreement compliance from managed service providers, escalating issues to global and regional IT leadership as required
- Serve as the primary escalation point for major incidents and provide daily production call feedback
- Supervise retail IT services delivered by affiliate-based teams and escalate service concerns to regional leadership
- Represent IT in local business operations, ensuring compliance with change controls, regulatory requirements, IT security, and privacy activities
- Manage affiliate IT budgets including OPEX and CAPEX controls in coordination with regional IT finance and affiliate finance teams
- Actively monitor spending against budget and review monthly operational expenditure charges for financial accuracy
- Support affiliate management with internal and external IT audits
Qualifications
- Work experience with global multinational companies
- Expertise in enterprise-level service delivery concepts and operations (minimum ITIL Foundation Certificate)
- Service management experience with outsourced vendors
- General working knowledge of IT concepts and services including networks, storage, compute, desktop support, unified messaging, office automation, and email systems
- Understanding of retail operations, particularly POS and omnichannel capabilities
- Experience managing IT projects
- Strategic and creative thinking with effective communication abilities in fast-moving environments
- Ability to translate business concepts to IT organization strategy and vice versa
- Superior interpersonal skills and comfort communicating with all levels of site management
