About Estée Lauder Companies

The Estée Lauder Companies is a global leader in prestige beauty, founded in 1946 by Estée and Joseph Lauder and built on an enduring belief in creativity, high-touch service, and entrepreneurial spirit. As an employer, the Group offers talent the scale of an international house with the energy of distinctive brands across skincare, makeup, fragrance, and hair care. Its culture values innovation, inclusion, learning, and responsible growth, inviting professionals to shape consumer experiences from laboratory to counter, digital platform to boardroom. Employees join a purpose-led organization where heritage, artistry, and scientific excellence meet to define the future of luxury beauty.

The Communications Manager will lead Estée Lauder Companies India flagship programs, including Beauty&You India, the Breast Cancer Campaign and Good Works Purpose Week, alongside large-scale events, integrated communications and stakeholder engagement. The role calls for 10–13 years of relevant PR and communications experience, ideally including a leading PR agency background, and substantial hands-on event and program delivery.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead flagship programs and large-scale events from initial planning through execution, overseeing timelines, content, partners, budgets and delivery.
  • Manage Beauty&You India end to end, coordinating internal teams, global counterparts and agency partners.
  • Develop integrated PR and communications plans for the Breast Cancer Campaign, Good Works Purpose Week and other enterprise initiatives.
  • Build earned media opportunities that showcase Estée Lauder Companies India’s leadership, innovation and impact.
  • Create press materials, leadership speeches, talking points, briefing packs and event run-of-show documents.
  • Manage agencies, vendors and partners, ensuring quality, accountability and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with local, regional and global teams, align priorities and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Support industry and government stakeholder engagement through content, event coordination and follow-through.
  • Track results and identify opportunities to strengthen future programs and communications.

Qualifications

  • 10–13 years of relevant PR and communications experience, ideally with a strong background in a leading PR agency; experience with a major PR agency network is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale events and complex, high-profile programs, with hands-on ownership from planning through execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders, competing priorities and several workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong media relations and storytelling skills, excellent writing, and experience developing content for senior leaders.
  • Confidence managing agencies, vendors, budgets and project timelines.
  • Agile, collaborative approach, with the ability to respond quickly to change, solve problems and follow through.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and a calm approach under pressure.
  • Experience combining strong PR expertise with substantial event and program delivery; a background focused solely on corporate communications does not provide the required breadth.
