The Estée Lauder Companies seeks a highly skilled Beauty Advisor to deliver an inspirational, personalized in-store experience through creative makeup application and consultation. This role combines technical expertise with a passion for customer service, encompassing product education, visual merchandising excellence, and participation in in-store events to maintain competitive retail standards. The position welcomes candidates with makeup artistry certification and professional retail experience, as well as those with amateur-level expertise and strong foundational knowledge.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide personalized makeup application, consultation, and product education to customers in a welcoming and inspirational manner
- Execute in-store events and promotions collaboratively with the team to drive sales and brand engagement
- Maintain the highest standards of visual merchandising and retail environment presentation
- Operate retail point-of-sale software and process customer transactions accurately
- Work flexibly across retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate authentic, customer-centric service that reflects the brand's prestige and values
Qualifications
- Makeup artistry qualification or professional retail makeup experience preferred; amateur-level experience with demonstrated creative and technical expertise accepted
- Ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service consistently
- Proficiency with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Flexibility to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends, and special events
- Valid proof of right to live and work in Norway
Skills
Experience
Professional makeup artistry experience or retail cosmetics sales background is preferred, though candidates with amateur-level expertise and strong technical foundation are encouraged to apply. Previous retail experience in luxury beauty or related prestige sectors is advantageous.
Education
Makeup artistry certification or equivalent professional training is desirable but not mandatory. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from NOK 31,500 to NOK 44,200 per hour.
