As a highly skilled Beauty Advisor, the successful candidate will blend creative and technical expertise with a passion for people to deliver a welcoming, inspirational, and personalized in-store experience. The role encompasses educating customers on makeup techniques and products, collaborating with a high-performing team to execute in-store events, and maintaining elevated visual merchandising standards. Certification in makeup artistry or previous retail beauty experience is preferred but not required; training and professional development are provided.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide expert makeup application and personalized beauty consultations to customers
- Create welcoming and inspirational in-store experiences that educate and delight customers
- Collaborate with the sales team to execute impactful in-store events and promotions
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure the retail environment is competitive and visually compelling
- Operate retail point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently
- Work flexibly across retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
Qualifications
- Qualification in makeup artistry or previous retail beauty experience preferred; amateur-level experience with demonstrable creative and technical expertise also considered
- Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Capacity to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with retail point-of-sale software
- Proof of right to live and work in the United States
Skills
Experience
While certification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience is desirable, the employer also welcomes applicants with amateur-level experience who can demonstrate a high level of creative and technical expertise. Experience with retail point-of-sale systems is preferred.
Education
Qualification in makeup artistry or professional beauty training is preferred but not mandatory.
