The Analyst, Digital Printing & Development supports the technical execution of digital printing initiatives for luxury packaging at Estée Lauder Companies, managing feasibility testing, test art development, and execution of regional programs. Based on-site in Melville, New York, this role collaborates across brands and regions to drive innovation in digital printing technology, troubleshoot equipment and software issues, and coordinate packaging projects with Brand and Operations teams to meet program revenue targets.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute feasibility testing on various packaging formats, creating die lines and troubleshooting digital printing challenges while adhering to strict timelines
  • Independently manage the package testing queue, coordinating components, materials, and vendors; follow up with R&D, Suppliers, and Developers as required
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with vendors and internal teams to understand testing status and troubleshooting techniques for test failures
  • Conduct feasibility reviews to determine testing necessity based on historical data and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop predictive tools to optimize testing workflows
  • Create and maintain on-site inventory of components and materials; physically maintain digital printing equipment with daily and weekly cleaning, part replacements, and coordinate third-party servicing
  • Use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create new designs and effects suitable for digital printing; collaborate with Creative and Brand teams to translate artwork concepts into physical samples
  • Serve as a point of contact for equipment and software issues, creating and updating technical troubleshooting guides and supporting virtual training for regional operations teams
  • Support ad-hoc projects including root cause analysis for test failures, vetting of emerging technologies, and serving as project coordinator for regional executions with Brand and Operations teams

Qualifications

  • College or University degree
  • 0–2 years of experience in a packaging or production environment
  • Technical aptitude and hands-on experience with machinery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly organized with ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent tasks
  • Creative with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop preferred
  • Knowledge of printhead technologies, ink formulations, color matching, and print quality best practices (asset)
  • Familiarity with industry-standard RIP (Raster Image Processing) software (asset)
