The Estée Lauder Companies seeks a skilled Beauty Advisor to deliver personalized in-store makeup consultations and sales services at a flagship cosmetics location. The role combines creative makeup artistry with client-focused service to educate customers and drive brand engagement through inspirational product demonstrations and visual merchandising excellence. This part-time seasonal position offers an excellent entry point into prestige beauty retail for candidates with makeup artistry certification, professional retail experience, or demonstrated creative expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Apply makeup artistry expertise to provide personalized, consultative client experiences that educate and inspire customers
- Execute professional makeup demonstrations and product applications that showcase brand offerings and drive sales
- Maintain the highest standards of visual merchandising and store presentation to differentiate the location against competitors
- Participate actively in in-store events and promotional campaigns as part of a high-performing sales team
- Process customer transactions using retail point-of-sale software with accuracy and efficiency
- Build authentic relationships with customers through inspirational and personalized service delivery
Qualifications
- Makeup artistry certification and/or professional retail makeup experience preferred; amateur-level creative expertise welcome with demonstrated technical proficiency
- Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Capacity to work flexible retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Legal right to work in the United States, with proof available upon request

Experience
Makeup artistry certification or previous retail cosmetics experience is preferred; however, candidates with amateur-level experience and strong creative and technical abilities are encouraged to apply. No specific years of experience mandated for entry-level candidates who demonstrate passionate engagement with prestige beauty retail.
Education
Certification in makeup artistry or cosmetology is desirable but not required. High school diploma or equivalent expected.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 16.50 to USD 19 per hour.
