Estée Lauder seeks a skilled beauty advisor to deliver personalized in-store experiences through makeup application and beauty education. The role combines creative expertise and technical proficiency to inspire customers, participate in in-store events, and maintain visual merchandising standards. While makeup artistry certification or previous retail beauty experience is desirable, the company welcomes ambitious candidates with amateur-level expertise seeking entry into prestige beauty retail.

Role & Responsibilities

• Apply makeup and provide beauty advice tailored to individual customer preferences and skin types
• Create an inspirational and welcoming in-store environment through personalized customer engagement
• Educate customers on product features, benefits, and proper application techniques
• Participate in and execute in-store promotional events and product launches
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and product displays to differentiate the counter competitively
• Operate retail point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently
• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales targets and store performance objectives
• Demonstrate brand values through authentic, enthusiastic customer interactions

Qualifications

• Demonstrated creative and technical makeup expertise at professional or amateur level
• Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
• Capability to work flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events
• Previous experience with retail point-of-sale (POS) software
• Right to live and work in the United Kingdom
• Makeup artistry qualification or previous retail beauty counter experience (preferred)

Skills

Experience

Retail makeup counter experience or demonstrated amateur-level makeup expertise with a strong interest in beauty is acceptable; previous experience in a fast-paced retail environment is valued.

Education

Makeup artistry certification or formal training is preferred but not required; high school diploma or equivalent is standard.
