This Beauty Advisor role combines creative makeup artistry with customer engagement to create personalized, inspirational in-store experiences for Estée Lauder and Clinique. The successful candidate will leverage technical and creative expertise to educate customers, execute impactful in-store events, and maintain premium visual merchandising standards in a dynamic retail environment. While makeup certification or previous retail beauty experience is preferred, passionate individuals with amateur-level experience and demonstrable creative skills are welcomed to apply and will receive comprehensive training and development from a leader in prestige beauty.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized, inspirational, and welcoming in-store beauty consultations that educate and delight customers
- Apply creative and technical makeup expertise to demonstrate product applications and techniques
- Collaborate with high-performing store teams to execute in-store events and promotional activities
- Maintain and uphold visual merchandising standards to ensure competitive store presentation
- Operate retail point-of-sale software and process customer transactions accurately
- Work flexibly across retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
Qualifications
- Certification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience (preferred but not required)
- Demonstrated high level of creative and technical makeup expertise
- Ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Capability to work retail hours including flexible scheduling and special events
- Experience with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Right to live and work in South Africa
