As a part-time Beauty Advisor for Estée Lauder at Boots, you will provide expert makeup application and personalized beauty guidance to customers whilst maintaining exceptional visual merchandising standards. Working approximately 6.5 hours weekly within a high-performing retail team, this role combines creative artistry with customer service expertise to create engaging in-store experiences and drive sales through product knowledge and consultation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver expert makeup application and personalized beauty consultations to customers
- Create inspirational and welcoming in-store experiences that educate and delight customers
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising to ensure the Estée Lauder counter stands out competitively
- Operate retail point-of-sale software and process transactions accurately
- Collaborate with team members to create impact through in-store events and promotions
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge and recommend products suited to individual customer needs
Qualifications
- Demonstrated high level of creative and technical makeup expertise
- Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service
- Ability to work flexible retail hours including days, evenings, weekends and special events
- Experience or familiarity with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Makeup artistry certification or previous retail makeup experience preferred but not required
Skills
Experience
While certification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience is preferred, applicants with amateur-level experience who can demonstrate strong creative and technical expertise are welcomed. Retail customer service experience is advantageous.
Education
Makeup artistry certification or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential; candidates with demonstrated expertise and passion for beauty are encouraged to apply.
