Estée Lauder is hiring a Beauty Advisor and Makeup Artist for a full-time regular role at Dischem Eastgate in Johannesburg, South Africa (173 hours). The role combines makeup expertise and personalized customer service with in-store events and visual merchandising; makeup artistry certification or prior retail makeup experience is preferred, while skilled amateur applicants are welcome.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming, inspirational and personalized in-store experience that educates and delights customers.
- Use creative and technical makeup expertise and a passion for people to support customer experience.
- Contribute to a high-performing team and create impact through in-store events.
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards to help the store stand out from competitors.
Qualifications
- A makeup artistry qualification or previous retail makeup experience is preferred; applicants with amateur-level experience are welcome if they can demonstrate a high level of creative and technical expertise.
- Demonstrate the ability to provide inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service.
- Able to work retail hours, including days, nights, weekends and special events, in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software.
- Provide proof of the right to live and work in South Africa if invited to interview.
