Emilio Pucci seeks a Senior Purchasing Coordinator in Bologna: lead procurement operations, supplier relations and material quality for the Maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational oversight of cross-category purchasing operations to ensure efficiency, compliance and performance.
- Define and enforce master data policies for raw materials, trims and price lists, ensuring data accuracy to support strategic decisions.
- Manage the full supplier order lifecycle (creation, follow-up, expediting), coordinating planning and delivery schedules for samples, cuts and production to maintain supply continuity.
- Supervise development and management of semi-finished goods, driving process improvements to maximise efficiency and quality conformity.
- Coordinate planning and execution of ‘blind’ orders for greige goods and prints, balancing commercial risk with production requirements.
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, negotiating terms to secure service, quality and cost objectives.
- Work with Quality Control to collect and analyse material technical datasheets and supervise material testing to ensure compliance with Maison standards.
- Prepare complex analyses and management reports for senior leadership, providing actionable insights to support business decisions.
- Lead, coach and coordinate the purchasing team to deliver operational excellence and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably within a structured fashion or luxury environment.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and leading a team.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data and process management.
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
Skills
Experience
At least 5 years in purchasing/procurement roles with progressive responsibility; prior exposure to purchasing processes in a structured fashion or luxury organisation and experience coordinating resources and supplier networks.
Education
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Supply Chain Management, Fashion Technology or a related discipline preferred.
