Role & Responsibilities

  • Independently ensure the compliance of all textile materials with company quality standards, managing textile quality issues during inspection phases and interfacing regularly with development, pattern-making, purchasing, and product departments
  • Initiate and supervise technical testing of garments and/or fabrics (cuts, samples, and production) at external analysis laboratories to ensure material and product conformity, workability, and chromatic/technical/qualitative standards
  • Monitor supplier lead times during cutting or sampling phases to assess their industrial and process sustainability
  • Control and manage textile delivery lead times from suppliers while maintaining solid commercial relationships
  • Monitor production progress of textiles at suppliers and share updates with colleagues in the Purchasing Office
  • Coordinate technical inspection (specola) upon material arrival at the company warehouse when external control verification is required
  • Identify and communicate defective materials and any defects to relevant stakeholders
  • Manage and follow up on textile commercial claims, including dispute resolution with suppliers
  • Handle material-related issues at manufacturing partners in collaboration with dedicated manufacturing quality control inspectors
  • Prepare Group-required reporting for supplier audits, inspection status, and checklists
  • Verify supplier compliance with national and international regulations regarding quality, product safety, and consumer information
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service department to collect and compile documentation related to customer shipments
  • Gather washing instruction data from suppliers, verify material composition, and transmit label layouts
  • Map supplier supply chains for sustainability initiatives; plan and conduct supplier audits, conduct site visits and interviews with supply chain producers to assess risks and implement corrective interventions related to sustainability and compliance
  • Prepare Group-required sustainability reporting for raw materials
  • Drive innovations to improve departmental processes and systems (e.g., Digital Passport)
  • Conduct site visits to suppliers for quality-statistical inspections and verify production progress
  • Approve production samples before shipment from suppliers (shipment samples)
  • Manage and follow up on accessory commercial claims, including dispute resolution with suppliers
  • Prepare Group-required accessory reporting for supplier audits, inspection status, and checklists

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience in textile companies plus prior experience at a supplier, testing centre, or textile analysis laboratory
  • In-depth technical knowledge of textiles (yields, stability, etc.)
  • Diploma from a Textile Institute
  • Valid Class B driving license
  • Availability for frequent business travel
