EM Microelectronic seeks IC Front-End Quality Manufacturing Manager in Marin, Switzerland. Lead quality operations and compliance in semiconductor manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deploy quality policy and methodologies throughout the IC front-end organization, maintaining IATF 16949 compliance and driving zero-defect initiatives
- Own and chair the Process Change Review Board (PCRB) in IC front-end, ensuring adherence to change management protocols and managing risk mitigation while maintaining supply chain security
- Ensure proper deployment of measurement system analysis (MSA), statistical process control (SPC), automation, fault detection and classification (FDC), and manufacturing execution system (MES) rules to reduce scrap and non-conformance events
- Chair the Material Review Board (MRB), assess non-conformance risks systematically, and drive timely corrective actions to protect supply chain and customer interests
- Conduct scrap analysis, assign cases to relevant production areas, and coach teams toward effective root cause elimination and continuous improvement
- Drive the execution and management of manufacturing audit processes, resolve audit findings, and report audit outcomes and resolution status to management
- Resolve customer complaint cases assigned to IC front-end, ensure timely problem-solving, and collaborate with customer quality teams on continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Electronics, Microelectronics, or Physics
- Minimum 10 years of experience in high-technology companies
- Minimum 5 years in a Quality Management role
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Lean methodology experience
- Strong knowledge of quality systems and industry standards including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and automotive core tools
- Proven expertise in IC production flows, quality tools, process development, failure analysis, and audits
Skills
Experience
10 years in high-technology companies, with a minimum of 5 years in dedicated Quality Management roles. Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, IC production, process change management, and cross-functional leadership within regulated, quality-critical environments is essential.
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics, Microelectronics, Physics, or equivalent engineering discipline.
