EM Microelectronic seeks Low-Power Wireless SoC Architect in Marin, Switzerland. Lead semiconductor design for IoT and wearable solutions.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and architect ultra-low-power wireless System-on-Chip solutions for IoT, consumer, industrial, automotive, and medical applications
- Lead technical specifications and system-level design decisions for next-generation semiconductor products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including RTL designers, verification engineers, physical design, and application engineers
- Evaluate and select optimal semiconductor technologies and design methodologies to meet power and performance targets
- Document architectural requirements, design trade-offs, and technical specifications for internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related discipline
- Demonstrated expertise in SoC or ASIC design methodologies
- Strong understanding of wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Thread, Zigbee, NB-IoT)
- Proven experience with ultra-low-power circuit design and power management techniques
- Proficiency in Hardware Description Languages (HDL) such as Verilog or VHDL

Experience
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in semiconductor design, with at least 5 years focused on wireless SoC or ASIC architecture in commercial environments. Successful track record of delivering power-efficient wireless solutions from concept through silicon validation.
Education
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field; Ph.D. preferred.
