EM Microelectronic seeks Head of Global Quality in Marin, Switzerland. Lead quality management across global operations and supply chain.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure EM's management system compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025, TQM principles, and specific customer and regulatory requirements
- Lead the company management review process and ensure quality plans address major risks from market, competitive, customer, supplier, regulatory, and organizational evolution
- Establish and deploy business manuals, key processes, and governance frameworks in alignment with stakeholder expectations and Swatch Group requirements
- Define, deploy, monitor, and report on quality metrics and plans to ensure organizational contribution to company targets, competitiveness, and financial profitability
- Drive quality performance and continuous improvement across the entire supply chain, including supplier quality management, customer complaint resolution, operations, and product development
- Lead and manage the Product Quality Assurance team to ensure all products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements across all served markets
- Align quality strategy with higher-level company objectives and communicate quality policy across all EM processes and organizational levels
- Ensure quality laboratories meet industry best-in-class standards and provide comprehensive support to internal and external stakeholders worldwide
- Manage supplier and customer quality management contracts to balance EM interests with stakeholder requirements
- Structure and staff the quality department to meet the needs of interested parties and market segments, driving team engagement and performance
Qualifications
- Extensive executive-level experience in quality management and quality assurance within manufacturing or electronics industries
- Deep knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025, and other relevant quality management standards
- Proven expertise in TQM (Total Quality Management) principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Track record of building and leading high-performing quality teams and departments
- Experience with regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions and market segments
- Strong knowledge of supply chain quality management and supplier quality assurance
Skills
Experience
15+ years of progressive experience in quality management roles, with at least 5 years in a senior executive position managing global quality operations, preferably within the electronics, microelectronics, or precision manufacturing sector. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing quality systems across multiple international sites and markets.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field; advanced degree (Master's) in Quality Management, Business Administration, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
