The Room Attendant at The Dorchester delivers discreet, attentive room service and fulfils guest requests, including special set-ups, additional supplies and special-occasion arrangements. The role works shifts Monday to Sunday, starting as early as 7 a.m. and ending by 6:30 p.m.; operational hours may change. It is a permanent, full-time position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver seamless, discreet, intuitive and flexible service, maintaining close attention to detail, thoroughness and hygiene to provide guests with an exceptional experience.
- Fulfil guest requests, including special room set-ups, additional supplies and arrangements for special occasions.
Qualifications
- Fluent English.
- Attention to detail, with the ability to ensure rooms are clean and tidy.
- Good communication skills, including the ability to understand instructions and ask questions when needed.
- Time management skills and the ability to complete rooms on time.
- Energy and comfort with moving around, lifting and standing for most of the day.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues and help when needed.
- Previous experience as a room attendant in a five-star hotel is preferred.
- Polite and friendly manner when interacting with guests.
- Organisational skills, including keeping track of supplies and ensuring items are in the right place.
