The Restaurant Head Waiter oversees an assigned section at Le Dali, managing guest relationships, payments, service standards and additional sales while supervising a commis and training new team members. This is an occasional extra position at Le Meurice.
Role & Responsibilities
- Use the Micros system and manage cash register closing procedures and special contracts.
- Manage an assigned section and follow up with guests at its tables to build commercial relationships.
- Attend to the assigned section throughout service and maintain eye contact with guests.
- Oversee the commis working alongside the role and ensure their work is completed.
- Process payments for tables in the assigned section.
- Drive additional sales, such as offering repeat servings and encouraging guests to order.
- Remain in the assigned section and supervise service.
- Work collaboratively with the team to satisfy guests.
- Keep the dining room and service area in excellent condition and handle equipment with care.
- Train new employees, interns and commis.
