The Overnight Guest Relations Supervisor at Hotel Bel-Air trains and supervises overnight guest relations and related teams, handles guest requests, and acts as Manager on Duty when the Overnight Manager is off. Role & Responsibilities
- Train and supervise the overnight guest relations team; welcome and depart hotel guests courteously and efficiently, process payments according to hotel procedures, and respond to guest and visitor inquiries.
- Understand the purpose of NEXUS, ensure the team uses it, and maintain awareness of departmental goals and metrics related to NEXUS usage.
- Oversee the Guest Relations Researchers, Creative Planner, Taskmasters, Guest Relations Hosts, Expert Hosts (Concierge) and Bell teams during their shifts; provide on-the-job and ongoing training, and conduct training when appropriate.
- Fulfil special requests involving personalized services for VIPs and children, guest requests, and proactive responses to problems or unmet expectations.
- Live the values of Passion, Personality, Respect, Working Together and Creativity, and contribute to the hotel’s legacy.
- On shifts when the Overnight Manager is off, act as Manager on Duty; respond to the Guest Relations Manager’s emails and action requests.
- Work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, and be flexible to work more than 8 hours in a shift when circumstances require.
- Assist with additional hotel operational duties, such as Housekeeping or Bell-related requests and inquiries.
- Perform duties involving frequent standing and walking, occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, grasping and manipulating objects, frequent keyboard and mouse use, and occasional bending, squatting, twisting and turning.
- Work long hours during peak periods when required at this seasonal property.
- Report directly to the Overnight Manager for support and guidance.
