Role & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional guest care and deliver a variety of treatments.
- Complete consultation forms accurately and maintain treatment rooms to spa standards.
- Accommodate guest preferences and special requests, including massage modalities, room temperature, pressure and special occasions.
- Report imperfections and blemishes in the hotel and work with other positions to correct them.
- Work schedules that vary with hotel business demands, including weekends and holidays.
- Meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing and walking for up to 8 hours, bending, stooping and crouching, using hand, finger and wrist dexterity, and regularly lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- Current California State Massage Therapy License.
- At least 3 years of experience performing massage, including 2 years in a luxury spa atmosphere.
- Forbes Five-Star, hotel, resort or cruise ship experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of a variety of massage modalities, scrubs and wraps.
- Ability to perform 4–6 services per day.
- Availability for varied 7-hour shifts (opening, mid or closing), including weekends, based on business demands.
- Comfortable communicating in English.
- Strong attention to detail, relationship-building, teamwork, communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
